The permits have been issued and as soon as materials arrive the two docks at the pond will be replaced. At this time the District anticipates work to begin during the last week of July or first week of August. Please exercise caution around this project and please stay off the docks until the project is complete.
Update 8/25/2021: The contractor team has notified the Metro District that they have seen a delay due to employee shortages. They are now scheduled to begin the work on 9/1.
UPDATE 8/13/21: The pond project faced some delays as a result of a delayed shipment of the materials for the docks. Materials have been received and demolition/reconstruction is set to begin on 8/25. This will be a construction area and the docks are not to be accessed for safety reasons. UPDATE 8/10/2021: The District has been notified that the materials have arrived and work will begin late next week (week of 8/16) or early the following week (8/23). Work will begin with demolition and proceed with the construction of the new docks. We appreciate everyone’s patience and support during this project.
UPDATE July 22, 2021: The Board has been notified of a delay in the delivery of some of the materials, which may cause an overall delay in the construction of the docks. The projection will proceed as soon as materials arrive.
